Visual concept and curation for the Jimmy Nelson Online Gallery Tool in collaboration with Kunstmatrix.
INSPIRATION:
Xavier Corbero's blend of organic forms and geometry inspired my design for the Jimmy Nelson Online Gallery. His ability to create spaces of wonder and intimacy guided my approach to an immersive digital experience.
SKETCH
The Jimmy Nelson Studio, renowned for its powerful photographic work documenting indigenous cultures, partnered with Kunstmatrix, a leader in online gallery solutions, to create a virtual space that would showcase Nelson's art in a digital format.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, physical galleries were closed, and the art world needed a way to continue engaging audiences and hosting events. The challenge was to develop an online gallery that not only mirrored the physical exhibition experience but also provided a new platform for showcasing art and hosting events remotely.
I developed the visual concept and curated exhibitions for the online gallery tool. The gallery was designed to offer a seamless and immersive experience, replicating the feel of a physical space. The design focused on creating a visually engaging and user-friendly experience that highlighted Jimmy Nelson's photography and storytelling.
The online gallery was created to provide access to art and exhibitions during the pandemic, making it possible for audiences to engage with Jimmy Nelson’s work from home. It has since become a crucial tool for hosting events and presenting new artworks to clients globally, making art accessible anytime, anywhere.

The Jimmy Nelson Online Gallery Tool successfully adapted to the digital landscape, allowing for continued engagement with Nelson's work and facilitating virtual events. Its ongoing use underscores its importance as a versatile platform for art presentation and client interaction in a digital era.
